UWI makes it easier for businesses to thrive within its cities, through the provision of attractive policies and streamlined processes established in consultation with its government partners. Structured incentives are specially designed to meet government objectives and increase economic activity, and enhance community prosperity.
UWI works with governments and their associated advisers to establish a portfolio of fiscal and non-fiscal incentive packages prescribed to promote a free flow of goods, capital and people while simultaneously encouraging localized social and economic development. Fiscal incentives may include specific programs which encourage foreign and local direct investment. Non-fiscal incentives may include specific programs that encourage economic activity in targeted sectors, as well as encourage technology transfer.
